Call for CALA Poster Proposals: Strengthening Libraries in a Changing World

Dear all,

We are excited to invite poster proposals aligned with the theme, “Strengthening Libraries in a Changing World.” 

Submissions should address, but are not limited to, the following topics:

• Building Resilient Libraries: Adapting to change while maintaining core services
• Empowering Librarians: Enhancing skills in technology and leadership
• Developing Culturally Responsive Collections: Reflecting diverse community voices
• Addressing Emerging Community Needs: Supporting mental health, digital literacy, and combating misinformation

In addition to the main theme, we also welcome posters that showcase accomplishments in other areas of library work.

Submission Guidelines:

• Submission Deadline: March 7, 2025
• Acceptance Notification: March 14, 2025
• Brief abstract (up to 250 words) describing the focus and relevance of your poster

The selected posters will be presented at the CALA Membership and Poster Session (tentative date and time: June 29, 3-4 pm) during the 2025 ALA Annual Conference.
