2021 IFLA WLIC Registration Support and Reimbursement Announcement

We are thrilled to announce that applications have opened for 2021 IFLA WLIC Virtual Conference registration support and reimbursement! Make sure to apply by September 30, 2021 to ensure successful receipt of funding.

According to CALA Strategic Plan 2020-25, CALA is committed to supporting member access to professional development opportunities. Therefore, the CALA Executive Committee has approved this year's travel grant to support 75 CALA members to attend the 2021 IFLA WLIC Virtual Conference. This reimbursement process will happen on a first-come, first-served basis. Each applicant may receive $80 USD to cover the registration fee, and the IFLA Early Bird Registration ends July 9, 2021. Because CALA members are also IFLA members, they can enjoy the IFLA member rate and take advantage of the discounted rate (65 Euros = 80 USD). Please see attached instructions (PDF) for how to complete 2021 IFLA WLIC registration.

Please note that after July 9, CALA members may still register but will need to pay the remaining amount from other funding sources. All CALA members are eligible to apply as long as their membership status is in good standing. To join CALA or renew the membership, please go to https://cala.wildapricot.org.

To apply for this conference grant, please go to 2021 IFLA WLIC Virtual Conference Registration Reimbursement or browse the Forms on CALA Website.

Please kindly note that all applicants will need to provide proof of registration in PDF format. This reimbursement starts and takes effect immediately and will end by September 30, 2021 or when the first 75 applications are approved.

We would like to thank CALA Conference Travel Grant Committee members Fu Zhuo, Yan He, and Jeannie Chen; CALA Award Committee members Leping He and Kuei Chiu; CALA Treasurer Suzhen Chen; CALA Web Committee chair Jingshan Xiao; and CALA Executive Committee members Hong Yao, Lian Ruan, Wenli Gao, Raymond Pun, and Suzhen Chen (Treasurer) for your dedication and hard work in collaborating to make this support program happen!

Should anyone have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We would love to answer them for you! Enjoy the 2021 IFLA WLIC Virtual Conference!
