ASSISTANT LIBRARY DIRECTOR (Req#05-0066-CI-1) (1 - opening)
Library - City - 10-01 (4130:1) Salary range: $58,999 to $115,048. This position will assist the Library Director in overall management, coordination and direction of the library system. Seeking dynamic individual with demonstrated leadership skills and proven record of effectively working in a changing environment. Responsible for personnel function within framework of City policies and procedures. Supervise upper level management of the library. Lincoln City Libraries consists of main library, seven branches and bookmobile and serves all residents of Lancaster County with population of 250,000. Annual operating budget of $7.4 million, 124 FTEs, annual circulation of 3.2 million with a collection of 1,024,000. Recent customer survey indicated that 85.6% were either “very" or "extremely satisfied" with Lincoln City Libraries service.
Qualifications: Master's degree from an ALA accredited library science program plus 4 to 6 years of professional library experience, considerable supervisory, managerial experience, and some experience in personnel and planning, and some experience with computers or equivalent.
