LIST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES THE COMMITTEE HAS DONE SINCE LAST REPORT:
1. We had successful new office election at the beginning of July, 2010. 32 out 53 NCA members (60.4%) actively participated in this online election.
2. CALA-North California Chapter undertook part of the Thinking Globally, Acting Globally (TGAG) Program. The program was a 7-day visiting trip for directors from China, who are Ms. Fengying Deng, Assistant Curator in Taiyuan Library, Ms. Yonghui Li, Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Library, Mr. Yong Zhang, Director of Hunan Provincial Library, and Mr. Xuyan Tang, Director of Hubei Provincial Library. We took the four directors to visit San Jose State University Library, San Jose Martin Luther King Jr. Library, UC Berkeley East Asian Library and some subject libraries, Stanford University and Hoover Institute, San Francisco and Berkeley Public Library. We also arranged a meeting for our CALA-NCA members to talk with the 4 guests to exchange thoughts and library practice.
3. We had a board meeting at San Leandro Library on August 22nd, discussing how to organize our CALA-NCA program for California Library Association's 2010 Conference. After the meeting, we also attended a book talk (Professor Emeritus of American Studies at
the University of California, Santa Cruz Judy Yung talked about her new book "Angel Island: Immigrant Gateway to America") . This program was organized by our member, Nancy Fong, Director of the San Leandro Public Library.

4. On Nov. 13, 2010, We successfully contributed our program "Cooperation, Collaboration and Resource Sharing" at 2010 CLA (California Library Association)'s annual conference. Our speakers and topics are:
