After ALA Midwinter, the Task Force started to focus on the actual implementation of the project.It was decided that the Task Force would be expanded to form two teams: the National Advisory Team (Dora Ho- co-chair, Nancy Hershoff- co-chair, Jen-Chien Yu, Ning Zou, Liana Zhou, Vincci Kwong, and Esther Lee) and the Local Implementation Team (Jen-Chien Yu- chair and the coordinators for four participating libraries).Below are the highlights of the project activities and timeline.
Mid January – late February, 2010
In collaboration with President Jin, the Task Force successfully recruited four participating libraries: Miami University Libraries, San Francisco Public Library, Middlebury Public Library, Cleveland Public Library.
Late January – early February, 2010
NAT established guidelines for participating libraries.
ALA released $3,000 to CALA for project implementation. An additional $1000 was later allocated to CALA. Each participating library receives $1,000 for implementation.
Project web website (http://daidai.cala-web.org/) was created and basic content posted.
Letters of acceptance for participating libraries were distributed.
February 19, 2010
First quarterly report was submitted to ALA – See attached report.
Mid March – early June, 2010

April 23, 2010
Second quarterly report was submitted to ALA – See attached report.
May – June, 2010
Prepare for project presentation at ALA Annual on Saturday, June 26, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
May 28-late June, 2010
Final evaluation of the project will be conducted and data compiled for submission to ALA at the end of June, 2010.
June 1, 2010
Final report for the project will be due.
