Creative Thinking and development of Academic Library in the age of the Internet

- The Eighth Sino-American Library Practice Forum (Kunming, Yunnan)

With the rapid change of information use in the age of the Internet, it is imperative to implement creative thinking and innovative ideas to the development of academic libraries. The theme of the Forum, “Creative Thinking for Academic Library Development in the age of the Internet,” offers a platform for exchanging ideas and scholarly discussion pertaining to the innovative development of academic libraries. The forum invites papers and presentations from information science scholars. The Eighth Sino-American Library Practice Forum will be hosted in Kunming Medical University in early July 2017.

• The Application of mobile learning in information literary programs

3, Research data management and subject librarianship

• Norms and Innovation: library statistical assessment, data quality, and analysis on return-on-investment
• Academic libraries’ support to university research and teaching
• Information needs for university teaching and research
• Subject librarians: the pioneer of library innovation

4, Network security and technology for libraries

• Network security for libraries
• Library integrated system and technological application
• The service practice and technological application of Smart Libraries
• Next generation information technology’s application to libraries

1, Requirement for content and format

• Submitted papers should not be previously published by other publications
• Formats should follow: http://www.scal.edu.cn/dxtsgxb/1305130249
• Length of article should be under 6,000 words
