Bibliography: ACRL A Bibliography of Research Methods




Compiled by ACRL Instruction Section Research and Scholarship Committee, the online bibliography provides information on research methods relevant to library and information science. It lists English language texts that are currently in print and that focus on research methods in librarianship or the social sciences. The bibliography is reviewed and updated every three years.


Institute for Research Design in Librarianship (IRDL)




The Institute for Research Design in Librarianship is designed to provide support for academic and research librarians who are interested in conducting research but need additional training. The website contains useful guide on writing research proposals and research steps.  IRDL’s scholars’ research works are also listed as examples.


CALA  Academic Resources System (CALSYS )  




It is a web repository system designed to collect, metadata, organize and centrally store the academic publications and related information resources created and contributed by CALA members, Chinese-American Librarians and other related contributors for library and information sciences/services (LIS) and related subject fields. This system will provide central academic resources to help, assist, enhance and guide CALA members and relevant users for studies and researches on Chinese-American Librarianship related subject fields and professional development.


The Researching Librarian: Web Resources Helpful for Librarians Doing Research




The online guide was created and maintained by Beth Ashmore, Samford University, Birmingham, AL. This site gathers links to selected web resources useful for research: freely searchable citation and full-text databases, funding information, relevant journals, statistics and statistical methods, useful research tools, current awareness sources, and conference papers and proceedings.
