Annual Salary: $62,587 - $88,733

The County of San Diego invites applications from experienced library professionals for the position of Principal Librarian. Competitive candidates will have demonstrated skill and experience needed to perform difficult and complex professional library work of a specialized or administrative nature. Incumbents use independent judgment and initiative in developing and coordinating library programs for services and are responsible for the management and supervision of a major operations region. The incumbent will act as a regional manager for multiple branch libraries operating out of one of three locals or the supervision of the division of bibliographic and technical services.

A master’s degree in Library Science and five years of progressively responsible professional, journey level library experience are qualifying.
