Position: Librarian III

Annual Salary: $53,373 - $64,854

The County of San Diego is accepting applications for Librarian III to fill positions throughout the County’s Library System. Librarian III class provide supervision and training to professional and paraprofessional staff; may administer the operations of a regional resource library or of a support division in the library system; may assist with capital improvement projects; participate in local community activities to generate public support for library and fundraising efforts; and act as a liaison to the Friends of the Library.

Qualified applicants must possess either: A master’s degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university, or certificate of foreign equivalency AND three (3) years of full-time experience as a professional librarian; OR a maser’s degree, as previously described, AND one (1) year of full-time experience as a Librarian II equivalent to the level with the County of San Diego.
