Position: Librarian I

Annual Salary: $43,867 - $53,310

The County of San Diego is accepting applications for Librarian I to fill positions throughout the County’s Library System. This is the entry/journey level class in the Librarian series and responsible for performing general reference services, children’s services, young adult services, and/or technical services including answering reference questions and instructing customers on the use of the internet and other library services.

Eligible applicants must possess either: A master’s degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university, or certificate of foreign equivalency; OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university supplemented by a minimum of 9 semester or 12 quarter units of graduate library science coursework from an accredited college or university, AND one (1) year of full-time paraprofessional library experience.
