Position: AMS Administrator

A large, information-based professional association seeks a team-player to support its growing databases and applications.

Responsibilities: This individual will have two primary areas of responsibility: ALA’s Association Management Systems and related components, and Database Administration. The position components will include, but not be limited to, data integrity, data remediation, data manipulation, design and implementation of extensions to the Association Management Systems. This position will consult with customers regarding the creation of new reports or procedures working in iMIS and Clarus. Assist customers in data extraction and presentation of the data in a standardized format as well as developing a format to meet their needs, and increasing functionality of database applications. Maintain database servers and database/application interconnectivity, in particular interaction between the SQL databases and web applications. Will also be responsible for supporting the AMS desktop client.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, minimum of four years related experience, and at least two years experience with Microsoft SQL server and administration. Experience with Windows Server 2003/2008, database administration, including the following software applications: iMIS, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 (MySQL a plus). Must have a customer service attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with multiple projects and often shifting priorities.

Starting salary range from the mid 60s negotiable based on experience and qualifications. With a 35 hour work week, ALA has an excellent benefit package that includes paid vacation and a retirement annuity.
