(20181009) Digital Collections Coordinator

Under the direction of the Head of University Archives and Digital Collections, and as a member of the Digital Collections team, individual will manage the daily operations of the department and assist in processing, community outreach, software management and increasing ongoing access to online oral histories and digital collections.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Supervisory experience
Experience with digital collections and digital management software, i.e. CONTENTdm
Two years of demonstrated experience scanning and working with Creative Suite programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat X Professional
Experience creating, editing, and running OCR transcription
Experience proofreading Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
Experience working in an academic environment


Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Library & information Science or a related field
Ability to effectively manage staff
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge of digital asset management systems (dams)
Demonstrated implementation of workflow management techniques
Proven ability to be detail oriented and accurate
Demonstrated ability to learn new computer and online applications through formal training and self-study
Experience working effectively as a member of a team
Experience resolving problems in an effective, professional and timely manner


The minimum starting annual salary of this position is $31,700.
