The Library seeks an energetic, collaborative and service-oriented professional to provide research support to students and faculty in the areas of finance and general economics. Working with a dynamic team of economics, social science and quantitative research librarians, and data services professionals, this librarian provides specialized and individualized research consultation for undergraduate and graduate students across the University as they complete their independent work and theses. Participates in individual and group library instruction. Selects for the Library’s print, digital and data collections in finance. Primary subject liaison to the Bendheim Center for Finance and to the Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE) Department of the Princeton School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Works closely with other subject specialists and area studies librarians on collection development and instructional and research services and represents Princeton in relevant regional, national and international professional and scholarly organizations.

The Library supports a diverse community of 5,200 undergraduates, 2,700 graduate students, 1,200 faculty members, and many visiting scholars. Required Qualifications:

-An ALA accredited Master's degree in library/information science OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience

-Familiarity with finance research, literature and data

-Academic degree in a quantitative social science such as economics or business

-Professional experience relevant to reference or research services in an academic or corporate setting, particularly connected with finance, economics, business and/or data in those areas

Strongly Preferred:

-Demonstrated facility searching financial and macroeconomics data sources

-Strong familiarity with research strategies in these areas
